Scoring

A great deal of effort has gone into ensuring that the RAID
scoring system covers all the elements required to produce a
well rounded, usable website. After much deliberation and testing
eight sections of investigation were specified as follows - Graphic Design,
Programming, Site Content, Usability, Search Engine Optimisation,
Accessibility, Interaction and Legal Requirements
Each of the eight areas of
evaluation are broken down into further sections to give
a total of 44 sub-categories. Each of these sub-categories is given a
weighting dependant on the perceived importance of the topic in question.
A pass is achieved by perfoming well over the whole of the
criteria expressed as a total score. Generally good scores are
required right across the board but an overall pass level is still possible with
one area or section of weakness.
